gateway collection

Gateway is a modular seating collection designed by Derlot for contemporary transit and communal spaces.

Architectural environments, interior concepts, forecast, 2D illustrations, 3D renders and animations, were developed to present the collection’s versatility across airports, universities, and public spaces.

The goal was to demonstrate the system’s versatility across public space layouts. Visuals and animations were developed for the Passenger Terminal Expo 2025, showcasing its adaptability.

Technical Render

Visuals and animations were produced for Derlot and Woods Bagot to present the Adelaide Airport upgrade, where the Gateway seating system was specified. The imagery showcases how the collection integrates within the new terminal architecture, highlighting its adaptability, material quality, and role in redefining the passenger experience.

Studio renders focused on form, proportion, and material accuracy. Controlled lighting was used to reveal tactile realism and to express the refined simplicity of the collection.

In-situ visuals were designed to balance cinematic atmosphere with architectural authenticity, situating Gateway naturally within contemporary airport environments.

A forecast book was developed for the Passenger Terminal Expo 2025 in Madrid, where Gateway was launched. The publication combined illustrations, research, and graphic design to explore the future of seating and spatial systems in travel environments, positioning the collection within broader design and behavioural trends in airport architecture.

Detail Render

Detailed work was done on upholstery and fabric to achieve realistic texture and depth. People were added thoughtfully to give each scene scale and context.
